The asymmetric board is not a new concept.

Surfboard design pioneer Carl Ekstrom, first developed his asymmetrical

designs in 1965, based on his knowledge of a surfers non-linear stance.

I have been influenced by many board designs and shapers,

though no other has had such an impact on my work

as that of my good friend and board building mentor, Wayne Rich.

Both Carl and Wayne's thirst and desire to push the status quo

 with their asymmetric designs are clearly evident in my shapes.

I have been striving to transmit the heelside power

to the drive and rotation at the fins with optimal efficiency.

With the given mass of the Surf SUP, asymetric tail, bottom contours

and offset quad fin setup, I've closely matched your toe and heel side performance.
